Job Purpose To work closely alongside the Home Manager, to provide and ensure residents have access and participate in varied, meaningful, fulfilling and person centred lifestyle activities. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Support residents with physical, emotional, psychological, and social activities Promote independence of the residents through encouragement of active participation in all activities of daily living, according to their needs and preferences Research and planning a full month of different events and activities for our residents, with the provision of fulfilling and meaningful activities as per social care plan Assisting with resident engagement to gain their buy in and attendance for our resident lifestyle programme, such as participating in daily music sessions or games, as well as internal and external events such as ad-hoc days out and trips or special events at the home Working with the care team to provide one to one time and support to our residents, providing person centred activities from making and enjoying a cup of tea, completing a puzzle, providing hand and nail care, enjoying a walk or playing a board/card game together Actively encouraging residents to participate in lifestyle activities, ensuring the residents and staff are aware of the importance of which attendance will have on residents wellbeing and happiness Actively seeks feedback from residents and resident families on the overall experience on the lifestyle programme/activities offered and constantly looking how to ensure overall satisfaction, improving and adapting where necessary Working closely with the care team to build upon engagement and support with social events and the lifestyle programme, ensuring the team are aware that it is mandatory for all care staff to support the lifestyle team As well as active lifestyle activities, support and encourage residents to participate in both socialisation and relaxation activities Liaise closely and build rapport with residents families and friends Help to help build and enhance our engagement and brand within the local community Helping the care team with providing and celebrating events such as resident birthdays, anniversaries and resident of the day activities Keeping awareness of local events and activities in which we can support residents with participating and attending It is essential that you hold a UK Driving Licence
