Job Description
We are recruiting for a Junior Operations Analyst to join our UK&I IT Operations Team who help provide centralized control and monitoring of our critical operations by managing the operational health of the environment.
This is an office-based role at our UKI Operations Centre in Fairham House, Nottingham.
You will join an existing rotational shift pattern reporting to an Operations Shift Manager. Working in this small team, you will help with Providing L1 and L1.5 support to both internal and external customers. The following will be the typical activities performed by a Junior Operations Analyst·
1. Perform monitoring of live services, applications and infrastructure.
2. Call handling from internal and external clients
3. Log and process incidents according to the Incident Management process, ensuring escalation to the Major Incident Manager for more serious incidents.
4. Respond/Action events received according to the directions given within a corresponding knowledge article, and escalate to the next tier of support, where no resolution by Operations Centre is possible.
5. Ensure the appropriate prioritisation of incidents to allow actions and the avoidance of service level breaches.
6. Participate in post incident reviews following a major event\incident
7. Contribute to the improvement of the Operations Centre and the technical service which it delivers.
Qualifications
Must have capabilities:
8. Desire to develop IT Operations skills with on the job with support.
9. Experience in client support (internal or external).
10. Active interest in technology.
11. Willingness to work in an office-based role.
Desirable capabilities:
12. Experience with ITIL processes.
13. Experience dealing with technology-related issues.
14. Familiarity with service management tools such as ServiceNow.
