Senior Account Executive (Founding Sales Hire)
About Metris Energy
At Metris, we're on a mission to accelerate the energy transition by helping solar owners manage their asset(s) autonomously. Today, our platform delivers real-time data on 1,000s of solar projects across the UK and automates time-consuming tasks involved in solar management such as monitoring, fault detection, reporting and billing. Next, Metris is building proprietary AI to deliver autonomous operation of small-scale renewables.
The Role
We are now ready to scale with our first full-time sales hire who can take ownership of the entire sales function and play a central role in shaping how Metris goes to market — from building a proprietary pipeline to structuring the sales playbook and closing deals.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end sales role. You’ll start by personally driving deals, developing relationships, and refining our value proposition in-market. In parallel, you’ll design and implement the processes, KPIs, and team structure to create a repeatable, predictable revenue engine. The ideal candidate is as comfortable picking up the phone and closing a deal as they are designing sales playbooks.
What You’ll Do
Own revenue, end to end
* Drive deals from first touch to close
* Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across asset management, finance, and sustainability teams
* Manage and grow a high-quality pipeline of B2B customers
Build pipeline from scratch
* Design and execute outbound strategies across email, phone, and LinkedIn
* Identify and prioritise target accounts (property owners, asset managers, investors)
* Qualify leads and sharpen messaging based on real market feedback
Turn selling into a system
* Define sales processes, KPIs, and forecasting
* Help shape pricing, packaging, and positioning
* Collaborate closely with founders and product to refine the value proposition
* Lay the foundations for a repeatable, predictable revenue engine
Who We’re Looking For
Must-haves
* 4–7 years of experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software sales
* Proven track record of closing mid-market or enterprise deals
* Comfortable selling to senior decision-makers (C-level, Heads of Function)
* Experience owning deals end-to-end, not just top-of-funnel
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-haves
* Experience selling into real estate, infrastructure, energy, or sustainability
* Exposure to asset-heavy or operationally complex customers
* Experience in early-stage or high-growth companies
