We're seeking an enthusiastic and driven Conveyancing Paralegal to join our clients thriving team in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop their expertise in residential property law while making a real difference to clients during one of the most important transactions of their lives.
About the Role
As a valued member of our conveyancing team, you'll work alongside an experienced team leader, supporting them across a diverse caseload of sale, purchase, transfer of equity, and remortgage transactions. From day one, you'll have direct client contact, building relationships and guiding clients through their property journey with professionalism and care.
This isn't just an administrative role – you'll be actively involved in every stage of the conveyancing process, from initial checks through to completion, gaining invaluable hands-on experience that will accelerate your legal career.
What You'll Be Doing
* Conducting anti-money laundering and conflict checks to ensure compliance
* Reviewing source of funds and source of wealth documentation
* Drafting and checking sales contracts and negotiating terms with other conveyancers
* Managing all financial aspects of transactions with precision
* Exchanging contracts and progressing matters to completion
* Handling leasehold transactions, including landlord consents
* Processing mortgage instructions and preparing transfer and mortgage deeds
* Raising and responding to enquiries with clarity and professionalism
* Preparing comprehensive search reports
* Liaising with the Land Registry and other key parties
What We're Looking For
Essential qualities:
* Previous experience of working within a Law Firm
* Exceptional attention to detail – accuracy is everything in conveyancing
* Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels
* A positive, can-do attitude with genuine enthusiasm for property law
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
* The confidence to work independently while knowing when to ask for support
* The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* A commitment to delivering outstanding client service
