Roles and Responsibilities
1. Hand loading parts and/or material
2. Hand feeding tools as required
3. Inspecting parts during production using various types of gaging devices such as comparators, hand mikes, plug and depth gages
4. Making machine and tooling adjustments necessary to maintain print specifications
5. Resharpening and replacing tools, raking chips, sanding faces, adding coolant
6. Utilizing various industrial tools and being responsible for the set up and operation of Manual Machining Equipment in tight tolerances
7. Maintaining a clean and safe work area and performing a variety of duties including grinding, de-burring, cleaning of parts, cutting and removal of scrap
8. Calibrating and operating a manual lathe machine or grinder, which is used to cut, sand, knurl, drill, face, and turn materials
