We are seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in a variety of settings.
Installation
We’ll need you to be able to:
* Install new electrical wiring, conduits, and fixtures.
* Install electrical control panels and distribution boards.
* Install and configure electrical systems, including lighting, power outlets, and security systems.
Maintenance
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems.
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and malfunctions.
* Test electrical circuits and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Repair
* Diagnose and repair electrical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
* Replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
Compliance
* Adhere to all electrical codes and safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all electrical work performed.
* Quality Control:
* Inspect work for accuracy and adherence to building codes and regulations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve construction issues.
Experience / Knowledge
* Previous experience working in the insurance industry, or complaint support, ideally a minimum of 2 years.
Qualifications
Certification: Valid electrician's license or certification. NAP IT or NICEIC
* Experience: Proven experience as a qualified electrician.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical theory, codes, and safety regulations.
Skills
* Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Must be able to test and sign off own works.
