Adult Social Worker
Location: Liskeard and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £25.38 per hour (paid weekly every Friday via PAYE)
Hours: Full-time – 37 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:15
(Condensed hours may be considered, subject to service needs)
Contract Start Date: 14 April 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Adult Social Worker to join a dynamic team delivering high-quality services across East Cornwall. This role requires a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable adults, alongside the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake comprehensive assessments of adults in need of care and support
* Complete safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory duties
* Develop and review care and support plans
* Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners
* Conduct regular face‑to‑face visits across the service area
* Maintain accurate and timely case records
Essential Skills & Experience
* In‑depth knowledge of all aspects of Adult Social Work
* Proven experience completing safeguarding enquiries
* Strong assessment, analytical, and decision‑making skills
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Recognised relevant professional social work qualification with HCPC registration
Special Requirements
* Access to a car and ability to travel
* Willingness to undertake weekly face‑to‑face visits across East Cornwall (Liskeard to the River Tamar)
