Main duties of the job
* Provide high‑quality clinical care, including consultations, diagnosis and treatment.
* Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring continuity of care and effective management of chronic conditions.
* Participate in practice meetings and contribute to the development of practice policies and procedures.
* Engage in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
* Collaborate with colleagues and external healthcare providers to ensure integrated care for patients.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records in accordance with practice protocols and data protection regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
* Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
* Excellent clinical skills and a commitment to providing patient‑centred care.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in clinical audits and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
* Full registration with the General Medical Council – GMC.
* Inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
* Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners – MRCGP – or equivalent.
* Postgraduate qualifications in areas relevant to general practice such as family medicine, public health or medical education.
Experience
* Proven experience working in a general practice setting.
* Competence in managing a wide range of medical conditions and providing high‑quality patient care.
* Proficiency in using electronic health records and other digital tools to enhance patient care and communication.
* Special interest or expertise in specific areas of medicine such as dermatology, paediatrics or mental health.
* Experience in leadership or management roles within a healthcare setting.
* Involvement in practice development or quality improvement initiatives.
* Experience in teaching or mentoring medical students, junior doctors or other healthcare professionals.
