About The Role
This role will cover a period of maternity leave. As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the level of clinical care we offer exceeds professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This includes providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising and coaching colleagues to deliver a service unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.
About You
HC‑One is looking for a Deputy Home Manager with a valid NMC Pin, knowledge of National Standards, and the NMC code of practice. You should have a background in person‑centred care planning within a care home and possess a brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. You’ll be a great mentor who can manage time effectively, keep meaningful records, and communicate with residents and colleagues in a considerate and kind manner.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must be able to recognise signs that may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
