Role Overview
The Product Manager will help drive the Promat UK Growth Strategy, working with manufacturing plants in the EU/China and the Promat Platform Team for new product development aligned with current and future market needs.
This role involves maximizing the sustainable profitability of the Passive Fire Protection product portfolio through strategic management of existing products and addressing gaps via NPD and Innovation processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure strong collaboration between Product Management and Sales teams, including customer visits with Sales Managers and Representatives.
2. Maintain updated knowledge of competitors and substitute products.
3. Monitor market developments to identify opportunities and threats related to channels, regulations, new products, substitutes, technology, and costs.
4. Regularly analyze customer satisfaction and needs regarding quality, performance, availability, and delivery.
5. Coordinate with sales to stay informed of competitor actions and respond swiftly.
6. Monitor profitability across the product portfolio.
7. Assess and improve the existing product range and marketing mix, managing the improvement process.
8. Contribute to the Strategic Review for the Business Unit and develop supporting action plans.
9. Propose budget targets for the portfolio.
10. Design and implement marketing plans for each product range.
11. Collaborate with UK marketing and communication teams to develop product promotion strategies and tools for channels, specifiers, and installers.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience with Passive Fire Protection Products within the UK.
* Product management and/or commercial experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
* Knowledge of the construction industry and market routes.
* Understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.
* Commitment to safety, teamwork, and sustainability initiatives.
