Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Lead BoP Engineer, you will be responsible for: Assisting with delivering effective outage strategies and management of projects Optimising the planned maintenance strategy to meet stakeholders needs to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime Provide technical expertise and guidance to other departments in relation to Balance of Plant (BoP) with a focus on maximising efficiency, plant performance and safety Provide technical governance, guidance and industry best practice including compliance with PSSR and statutory inspections Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Ideally a Degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline however, would consider those with a HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3, etc. A formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH will be advantageous but not a necessity Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge The BoP Mechanical Engineer role would suit someone who has: Prior Mechanical Engineering experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Power Stations, Paper Mills, Top Tier COMAH sites, Refineries, Petrochemicals, etc. Experience working with Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) would be advantageous Knowledge of Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) will be advantageous Demonstrate the ability to successful manage teams Salary and benefits of the BoP Mechanical Engineer role A starting basic salary of up to £83,000 Performance related bonus of 15% Other excellent benefits Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
