Contract: 24 hours a week (3 days to be discussed at interview)Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
£33,952.77 - £39,366.78

Reed Education are working with a specialist independent provision in Pilning, South Gloucestershire that supports children and young people aged 7-19 with Autism, anxiety, SEMH needs and a range of complex conditions.

About the Provision
This is a nurturing and forward-thinking environment where every student is supported holistically, cognitively, emotionally and socially. The team works collaboratively to create personalised therapeutic plans that reduce reliance on adults and empower pupils to move confidently toward adulthood.
You will play a key role in shaping whole-school wellbeing, Positive Behaviour Support and trauma-informed practice.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll use evidence-based psychological approaches to support pupils, families and staff. Your responsibilities will include:
* Completing detailed psychological assessments using a range of tools and approaches
* Developing therapeutic plans and interventions tailored to individual needs
* Delivering 1:1 and group therapies
* Contributing to multi-disciplinary planning and behaviour support strategies
* Supporting school-wide Positive Behaviour Support initiatives
* Providing staff training on behaviour, communication, mental health and wellbeing
* Offering guidance, communication and support to parents and carers
* Producing progress reports, treatment evaluations and risk assessments
* Collaborating with external agencies and involved professionals
* Providing supervision to Assistant Psychologists where required

What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a strong match if you have:
Qualifications & Registration
* Postgraduate qualification in Psychology – essential
* Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist – essential
Experience
* Experience working with young people with high support needs or SEN
* Skilled in working with Autism and associated challenges
* Previous experience in school, college or care settings (desirable)
* Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
* Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists
