About the Role
I am working alongside our long-term and trusted client who are seeking an accomplished and strategic Regional Head of South - Building Surveying to lead our operations across Birmingham, Bristol, and Cardiff. This senior leadership role sits at a Director-equivalent level, with responsibility for setting the direction of the region, driving business performance, and delivering excellence for our clients.
As the senior figure for the South, you will oversee and grow our building surveying capability, ensuring consistent high-quality service delivery, maintaining strong client relationships, and spearheading business development. You will be accountable for commercial outcomes, regional strategy, and the leadership of multidisciplinary teams-ensuring the region plays a central role in the wider success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and direction to building surveying teams across Birmingham, Bristol, and Cardiff.
Shape and deliver the regional business plan, aligned to national strategy and growth objectives.
Oversee profitable delivery of all building surveying services, including design and specification, contract administration, building surveys, dilapidations, and clerk of works.
Act as senior client lead, developing long-term relationships and expanding market opportunities across public and private sectors.
Drive regional business development, securing new opportunities and positioning the business as the consultancy of choice.
Ensure effective financial management, operational efficiency, and risk control across all projects.
Mentor, inspire, and develop teams, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Represent the region at senior leadership level, contributing to national initiatives and cross-regional collaboration.

Skills & Attributes
BSc in Building Surveying or equivalent.
Chartered status (MRICS).
Demonstrable senior leadership experience in a consultancy environment.
Strong track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering large-scale projects.
Established profile in the industry with excellent client-facing and business development skills.
Strategic, commercially astute, and results-driven.
Excellent communicator, negotiator, and influencer at senior stakeholder level.
