Education Welfare Officer – 37 hours per week term time 193 days (Grade LG7)
Are you passionate about improving school attendance and supporting children’s access to education? We are seeking a committed and proactive Education Welfare Officer to join our dedicated Guidance and Support Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families within the Norham High School family.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with staff, parents/carers, and other professionals to promote regular school attendance and address barriers that prevent children from attending.
* Provide advice and guidance in line with statutory legislation and local procedures, ensuring that all interventions are child-centred and focused on belonging, safeguarding and educational outcomes.
