Job Description
· To maintain all guest ledgers accounts on a current basis by posting charge on them as the charges are received from the various sales outlets in the hotel.
· To checkout departing guests, post guest ledger charges.
· To properly maintain to handle safe deposit boxes.
· To post manual charges to guest bills.
· To apply advance deposits to respective reservations as per our local policy and procedure.
· Ensures that charged vouchers to guest’s folios are properly signed by respective guests.
· Refunds advance deposits according to our local policy and procedures.
· Issues guests’ paid outs as per hotel’s regulations
· Handles telephone bills.
· Apply the day-use rates to all late checkouts.
· Handles the credit card data capture terminals properly.
· Files properly all guest outlet checks and vouchers in the rack.
· Obtains and checks bank receipts in terms of expiry date, guest name and amount consumed.
· Evaluates all travel agents’ vouchers upon receipt.
· Transfer charges from/to guests’ folios whenever needed.
· Prints guest folio before condensing it.
· Balances the final shift audit.
· Maintains proper records of hotel safe deposit boxes.
· Controls and maintains the logbook of house master keys as well as other keys kept at the F.O. Cashier’s desk.
· Check out individual guests and groups.
· Prints telephone statements when requested.
· Witnesses the cash drop box and obtain the relevant signatures.
· Prepares the daily cash drop envelopes as per computer reading and explains any discrepancies, if any.
Qualifications
· Educated to bachelor’s degree level or beyond, most likely within a business or hospitality management-related discipline, or experience equivalent.
· Prior experience in the same position.
· Prior experience in pre-opening.
· A native Arabic speaker and fluency in verbal and written English are essential.
· Must be a highly capable user of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
· Previous working experience in a truly global work environment is essential.
