Operations Controller | Out of Hours | Permanent
Salary: £26,231.83 plus bank holidays
Location: Letchworth
Hours: Saturday & Sunday shifts between 07:00 am to 8:00 pm including all bank holidays

CitySprint has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Controller to join our Out of Hours team.
You will manage all day-to-day courier resources to maximize efficiency, adhere to customer SLAs, and uphold Health and Safety standards. Support the Out of Hours Senior Controller to create a KPI-driven environment focused on service and revenue.
A successful Operations Controller manages daily resources within the OOH operation, supports the Senior Controller & Operations Manager, and ensures timely deliveries and collections. Manage stakeholder relationships to maintain a positive reputation.
Main responsibilities include:
* Manage bookings and allocate resources according to SLAs and network rules.
* Communicate courteously and efficiently regarding courier workload.
* Resolve customer, courier, and control queries effectively.
* Optimize courier resources across the network.
* Support courier onboarding, ensuring compliance and professionalism.
* Monitor courier performance and address issues proactively.
* Maintain paperwork and systems accurately and efficiently.
* Support site housekeeping and Health and Safety compliance.
Ideal candidate qualities:
* Ability to reprioritize tasks in a busy, time-sensitive environment.
* Understanding of business patterns and peak period planning.
* Experience in operational or customer service roles.
* Knowledge of in-house systems like CityTrak and X-Despatch.
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Understanding of KPIs, including OOH specifics.
* Strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills.
The successful candidate will undergo a DBS check; conditional offers are subject to clearance.
