Position Overview
The Repair Technician/Engineer role is a key member of the Operations Team, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing all hardware and systems which are installed and maintained as part of the EMEA Operations Team. Their responsibilities include: diagnostic testing of equipment which is returned to the repair centre; repair or replacement of faulty components; recertification of radar equipment for ongoing operation; configuration of systems so they are ready for deployment; and application of software and images to systems.
The Repair Technician/Engineer has a systematic approach to repair work and has a high technical competence in a wide range of hardware and software repair. Root cause analysis in a structured manner is critical for this role, including the documenting of all actions and findings to enable trend analysis and preventative maintenance strategies to be delivered by the Operations Team.
The Repair Technician/Engineer will need to maintain accurate records of the stock stored and manage the booking in and out of equipment.
Responsibilites & Duties
Working as part of the Verra Mobility Repair Team, responsibilities and duties include:
* Repair of speed camera systems,flash illumination systems, andRadar Systems.
* Reading and interpreting schematic diagrams
* Fault find to component level.
* Final acceptance testing of products.
* Producing documentation.
* Systems maintenance and repairs.
* Upgrade an ECN Change Implementation.
* Contribute to writing work instructions relevant to the servicing role.
* Working co-operatively with all staff, customers and suppliers.
* Identifying and recommending improvements to systems and processes to improve business efficiency.
* Participation in the company’s Continuous Improvement Program.
* Responsibilbe for leading and facilitating upon special projects.
* Understand and adhere to all relevant Verra policies and standards defined in the Quality and OHS Manuals, and includes Verra’s Guiding Principles.
* Attend all required safety training.
* Comply with individual Health and Safety legislative responsibilities by:
o Reporting all hazards, incidents and injuries immediately
o Reporting Fit for Work
o Protect own safety and health and not adversely affect health and safety of others
o Understand individual environmental responsibilities and be held accountable for actions
o Report all environmental incidents immediately.
* Other duties as directed.
Qualifications
* A Technician Certificate, diploma or equivalent level/experience in a technology field.
* 1+ years of experience repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting equipment.
* Have the ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
* Know how to upgrade an ECN change implementation.
* Can troubleshoot to the component level.
* Managing various project while working closely with other team members and leading as needed.
* Can communicate well to those both technical and nontechnical.
