Are you an experienced receptionist looking for flexible work in a Primary Care Setting? We are seeking a Bank Medical Receptionist to join our team, providing cover on an ad-hoc basis. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and values variety in their work schedule.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within the medical practice, contributing to an excellent patient experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Patient Interaction

* Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
* Answer telephone calls, deal with enquiries, and take messages accurately.
* Book, amend, and cancel patient appointments using the practice's clinical system.
* Assist patients with requests for repeat prescriptions and direct them appropriately.
* Provide information to patients on practice services, clinics, and procedures.

Administrative Duties

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
* File correspondence, test results, and documentation as required.
* Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail and process outgoing mail.
* Scan, photocopy, and process documents in line with practice protocols.
* Support clinicians by ensuring patient notes and information are available when required.

Confidentiality & Compliance

* Handle all patient information with strict confidentiality in line with GDPR and practice policies.
* Adhere to safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety procedures.
* Follow practice protocols and contribute to quality improvement.

Teamwork & Support

* Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and other staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
* Provide cover for colleagues during absences or busy periods.
* Attend staff meetings and training as required.
