Cygnet Hospital Bury: Cygnet Hospital Bury providesa wide range of inpatientmental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services andCAMHS provision for adolescents. The role: To ensure that there are adequate systems, processes and training in place to ensure that the hospital is compliant with Department of Health standards required within Medium Secure, Low Secure and Adolescent Psychiatric Care Units and that group policy and local procedures are adhered to. Your day-to-day • Act as the hospitals named Police Liaison Officer ensuring that all required liaison and crime prevention and detection is managed in accordance with information governance and patient confidentiality. • Provide line management to Security team as well as conduct, appraisal and PDP and all attendance management processes. • Work as part of the MDT and contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of the service for Adults and adolescents with complex needs. • Undertake comprehensive assessments of service users, focusing on though not exclusively to complex risk assessment and management. • To work across the wards to ensure service users move seamlessly through the care pathway and nurses are empowered to manage complex needs Experience: Essential: • RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number • The ability to maintain documentation, undertake complex audits & demonstrate integrity in your role • A good understanding of the latest nursing practices • A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk. • Compassion, resilience & a dedication to empower & support service userindependence Desirable: • Experience in a Security/Patient Safety lead role. • An interest in Research, assessment & ongoing development.
