Position Overview
Excellent opportunity for an ambitious salesperson to join the technical sales team at a world-leading instrument vendor.
Operating out of a state-of-the-art facility in the golden triangle, our client provides industry-leading analytical instruments to scientific organisations across the globe. Joining their expanding sales team, you will be responsible for growing sales of HPLC and GC-MS systems to clients within the academic, pharmaceutical, and research sectors.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the full sales lifecycle, advising on instrumentation to clients including research laboratories, CROs, and academia.
2. Understand client requirements and analytical challenges/goals through initial contact.
3. Engage in technical discussions and recommend suitable products/solutions.
4. Contribute to the instrument demonstration process.
5. Negotiate sales and facilitate project completion.
6. Serve as a vital interface between in-house teams and customers.
7. Attend and support industry events and conferences.
8. Stay informed about competitor products and applications.
Requirements
* BSc in Chemistry or related subject, or equivalent experience.
* UK Driver’s License.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Practical knowledge or experience of HPLC and GC-MS systems.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Resilience and problem-solving abilities.
Enthusiastic and motivated scientists with expertise in HPLC, GC-MS, or related techniques are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in technical sales is advantageous but not essential if you possess the relevant technical knowledge and aptitude for a commercial role.
