We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Birmingham to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Admin Assistant, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £15.68 per hour
Summary:
To provide efficient, effective and consistent Professional Support Services that meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
* To provide high quality Professional Support services to internal/external customers communicating appropriately and ensuring their needs are met within the services Business Agreement including switchboard/reception provision, and undertaking a range of clerical tasks.
* To fully support meetings as required by the business, including the provision of note-note taking as requested and the production and distribution of outputs in a timely manner.
* To place orders and monitor stock as appropriate.
* To operate and maintain administrative systems (e.g. monitoring, recording and processing of information) to ensure the delivery of the Professional Support function in a consistent and responsive manner across in business.
* To administer business and financial processes, including handling monies and dealing with queries as appropriate
Skills Required:
* A committed team player, honest, loyal, and trustworthy. Keen to develop and continually improve both on a personal level and in terms of contributing to the performance of the authority
* A good level of written and oral communication, including the ability to persuade and influence people to act and make decisions in a way which protects and promotes biodiversity.
* A good standard of written English and Mathematics to at least GCSE C/ level 4 which can demonstrate an ability to work at this level or demonstrate relevant experience.
* A proven commitment to high levels of customer service
