We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Buyer to join our Graduate scheme as part of our September cohort. Out Graduate scheme is designed to develop our future talent by giving you real responsibility from day one. You’ll join our Procurement team and be supported throughout with structured training, exciting projects and invaluable industry experience. Our Graduate programme focuses on helping you develop specialist expertise, you’ll complete four six-month rotations across different categories to give you a wide breadth of experience across Procurement. You’ll also develop your skills and knowledge by completing the Supply Chain and Procurement Level 4 Apprenticeship leading to the achievement of your CIPs level 4 qualification, .

1. You’ll learn all about strategic procurement including cost reduction, supply chain resilience, risk mitigation, and ESG enablement
2. You’ll support procurement managers and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement for specific categories of spend (e.g. packaging)
3. You’ll build subject matter expertise for specific categories of support – e.g. detailed knowledge of commercial models, supply market, and purchasing dynamics
4. You’ll conduct supply market research to identify new innovations and opportunities for areas of the business you partner
5. You’ll prepare key analysis and documentation to support influencing stakeholders on recommended areas for change / improvement on external spend and supplier management
6. You’ll proactively request and action feedback from procurement team and wider business stakeholders
7. You’ll own the commercial and contract negotiations through to contract handover for your categories with support for senior procurement team
8. You’ll work closely with the finance team and business stakeholders to track and report on benefits delivered to senior management
9. You’ll contribute to the continuous development of the Procurement Team’s governance, ways of working, and supplier risk management processes
10. You’ll provide direction and best practise for procurement to stakeholders and project leads
11. You’ll be the source of external expertise where required in line with Evri’s procurement strategy
12. You’ll develop your network, working across multiple business areas, you’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders and present insights to Heads of and Directors.
13. You’ll receive mentoring and join a network of emerging talent through our EVRi Emerging Talent Development programme.
This is an agile role that may require travel from time to time. The role is based in Morley 2 days per week.
What you’ll need to become a Graduate Buyer:
14. A minimum 2:2 Degree in Maths, Business, Data or another STEM field
15. GCSE in English and Maths at A*-C (9-4) or equivalent
16. Demonstrable communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills
17. Creative thinking with a positive sense of initiative and eager to learn
18. Strong analytical, reporting and time management skills.
19. Good attention to detail and ability to turn data in actions.
20. Willingness to learn, curious and resilient.
21. Strong presentation skills and negotiation skills
22. Computer literate and confident with the MS Office suite.
23. Full clean UK driving licence.
