Our client, a reputable childcare provider in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-time Nursery Assistant to join their vibrant team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the nursery's daily operations and providing exceptional care to children aged 0-5 years.
As a Nursery Assistant, you will work closely with the nursery team to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of the children in your care. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children by maintaining a clean and secure environment
- Providing personal care to children, including nappy changing, toileting, and meal times
- Observing and assessing children's development, maintaining accurate records, and sharing information with parents and colleagues
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
- Adhering to the nursery's policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a nursery or similar childcare setting
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, patient, and friendly demeanour
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- A valid DBS check and a commitment to safeguarding children
