Associate Psychological Practitioner (APP) / Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner (MHWP)
12‑month FTC – Maternity Cover
We are pleased to offer this post within specialist eating disorder services. The role is based at Pendle House, Nelson, East Lancashire Eating Disorder Team and is part of the All Age Eating Disorder Service covering Lancashire and South Cumbria. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychologists, systemic family therapists, specialist mental‑health nurses, dietitians and medical staff.
This is an exciting time of service development. The team is committed to delivering high quality NICE‑compliant psychological therapies to people of all ages with an eating disorder. The post holder will receive regular supervision and professional support from either a psychologist or CBT therapist, and will be supported to access training in eating‑disorder specific CBT models where required.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver low‑intensity CBT interventions focused on the eating disorder, both in 1:1 and group formats.
* Provide high‑quality clinical support within a multidisciplinary framework.
* Engage in regular supervision and professional development activities.
Qualifications
* Completed Postgraduate Diploma Associate Psychological Practitioner (PGDip APP) or Postgraduate Certificate Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner (PGCert MHWP).
* Suitable for either APP or MHWP qualifications.
* Enhanced DBS clearance required; successful candidates will have to pay £55.50 for the DBS check, which will be deducted from the first three months' salary.
