I am recruiting for a Bid Manager to join a tier 1 contractor in both construction and FM. You will be involved in working as part of the business development team to draft high quality facilities management responses to Invitations to Tender, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, and Expressions of Interest. Additionally, you will develop FM service delivery models and solutions in conjunction with operational teams.
This role will also support Regional Directors and their teams in the bid process and negotiations for current and new bids.
The Role:
1. Support Regional Directors in providing creative and commercial solutions to bid requirements and first draft submissions.
2. Support and sometimes lead the bid process, ensuring all relevant parties are informed of requirements and progress. This includes planning and advising on bid activities and resources.
3. Assist in populating generic organizational content into Selection Questionnaires, RFI responses, and other bid formats.
4. Compile cost and data information for FM bids to identify risks and commercial opportunities.
5. Conduct site visits to identify cost and efficiency drivers.
6. Support mobilisation activities for FM services at new sites.
7. Identify pre-written content to develop proposals.
8. Develop and rewrite content into a consistent, high-quality proposal style by:
* Using information from the business development team to create responses.
* Meeting with contributors to capture raw information for draft responses.
About you:
* Experience in facilities management and tender processes.
* Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Office applications, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
* Skilled in IT systems, including Office 365 and advanced Word skills.
* A degree in Media, English, or a similar subject, or equivalent experience, is advantageous but not essential.
