The Adult Skills Workshops Coordinator is responsible for planning, administering, and delivering engaging weekly workshops for members aged approximately 1040 with a diverse range of additional needs and disabilities. The role includes responsibility for activity planning, safeguarding, risk management, behaviour support strategies, and overseeing sessional support staff and volunteers.
Workshop Delivery: 36 Thursdays per academic year, 7 hours per session (9:0016:00) 252 hours per annum
Administration: 4 hours per workshop week 144 hours per annum
Workshop Delivery & Planning
Design and deliver high-quality workshop sessions (36 per year) that promote social interaction, communication, and independent living skills.
Create structured activity plans, learning outcomes, and session resources.
Ensure sessions are inclusive, meaningful, and tailored to the needs and abilities of all participants.
Safeguarding & Welfare;
Uphold the charitys safeguarding policies and ensure safe practice at all times.
Conduct and maintain up-to-date risk assessments for activities, individuals, and the workshop environment.
Record, report, and respond to incidents in line with organisational policies.
