We are seeking compassionate Residential Support Workers to join a children’s home in Chesterfield. This role involves supporting young people who may have experienced trauma, neglect, or disadvantage, helping them feel safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive. No previous care experience is required — what matters most is resilience, empathy, and the willingness to learn. Full training and support are provided. Key Responsibilities * Build nurturing, trusting relationships with young people from challenging backgrounds * Support daily routines, education, and personal development * Help young people regulate emotions and build resilience * Ensure safeguarding, advocacy, and promote children’s rights * Work collaboratively within a reflective, therapeutic team Requirements * Genuine passion for supporting children and young people * Ability to remain calm, caring, and consistent in challenging situations * Willingness to learn therapeutic approaches (PACE, DDP) * Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins * Previous experience welcome but not essential — training provided What We Offer * Salary from £26,000 per annum £50 sleep-in allowance * Full induction and ongoing training in trauma-informed practice * Funded qualifications (QCF Level 3 and above) * Career progression opportunities in a growing organisation * Supportive team environment with reflective practice Apply today to join our Chesterfield residential care team and make a lasting impact on young people’s lives
