Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from experienced Pastoral Leads to work in schools across Sheffield (S5, S9). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by guiding and supporting pupils through challenges and helping them achieve their potential.
As a Pastoral Lead, you will oversee pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development, ensuring they feel supported, safe, and motivated.
Key Duties of Pastoral Lead:
* Lead and coordinate the school’s pastoral care programmes.
* Provide guidance and support to pupils facing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
* Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support pupil wellbeing.
* Monitor attendance, behaviour, and overall student progress.
* Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and resilience.
* Mentor and support pupils to build confidence and personal skills.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience working in a pastoral or pupil support role within a school setting.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
* Empathetic, patient, and proactive approach to supporting pupils.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
