Job Summary
The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest funder for the UK’s heritage. Its vision is for heritage to be valued, cared for, and sustained for everyone, now and in the future. We use our expertise to support and champion the UK’s heritage and demonstrate the transformative potential of National Lottery funding through the new strategy Heritage 2033. Money from The National Lottery makes a decisive difference for people, places and communities.
We are recruiting for a full‑time Marketing and Communications Manager (Good Causes Summaries) on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, based in any of the Heritage Fund’s offices in Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds or Manchester (Hybrid Working).
Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this post is to produce approximately 150 short, engaging Good Cause Summaries that will be used to showcase the impact of National Lottery funding. You will manage the end‑to‑end process of researching funded projects, drafting and polishing concise copy that follows a defined tone of voice, coordinating reviews and approvals, managing consent and image permissions, and ensuring content is finalised and submitted in line with requirements.
Additional duties include writing and editing content, managing revisions, liaising directly with grantees, sourcing suitable images, and finalising approved content for submission to Allwyn. You will support the ongoing development and embedding of the Good Cause Summary system, work with data colleagues, deliver training on the system and reporting functions, and provide updates or briefings to colleagues, including senior staff.
If you are excited about helping ensure that heritage is inclusive and accessible to everyone for now and future generations, then we want to hear from you.
* Applications close on 20 May 2026.
* Interviews are expected to take place on 8 June 2026.
