Quality Inspector (Leicester) - £30K
About the Company:
The company manufacture tailored machinery for various company's within the engineering sector, for example, Coil manufacturing, superconductor winding and taping machinery.
About the Role:
The quality inspector role will involve helping the team control/ manage supplier quality.
Responsibilities:
* Inspect supplied materials and products for compliance with specifications
* Measure components against engineering requirements
* Report and manage supplier quality issues
* Support corrective actions with the supply chain team
* Ensure cost-of-quality KPIs are achieved
* Conduct internal audits in line with ISO 9001
* Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
* Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and procurement
* Inspect component finishes (phosphate, BZP, paint)
* Review supplier FAIR documentation
* Perform in-process inspections at supplier facilities
