For more information please visit https://www.se.manchester.ac.uk/. Currently, the University of Manchester relies on several computer systems to support research. These systems are vital for activities such as monitoring equipment usage, maintaining an up-to-date equipment asset register, and tracking research grant proposals and associated costs. Despite their critical roles, these systems often operate in silos, limiting the potential for efficient data sharing, cost recovery, and strategic decision-making. In the face of increasing financial pressures across the higher education sector, optimizing resource management and revenue recovery has become essential. Now is the time to develop a coordinated approach to research system integration to support sustainable research practices, maximize equipment utilization, and improve the transparency and accuracy of financial reporting The post holder will lead, devise, develop and implement a consistent and sustainable methodology for the full utilisation of the PPMS platform across all of the faculties in UoM where appropriate.
