Process Technician – Effluent Treatment AreaLocation:Liverpool, United KingdomEngagement Type:Contract (Contingent Labour)About the Role:MSI Pharma is seeking an experienced Process Technician to support manufacturing operations at a leading pharmaceutical site in Liverpool. This role focuses on effluent treatment, critical utilities, and material handling within a highly regulated environment. You will work as part of a small team responsible for viral deactivation and waste handling, reporting to the Process Coordinator.Key Responsibilities:Operate effluent treatment plant for processing virus and chemical-containing waste streams.Monitor equipment and systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.Complete documentation in accordance with cGMP and legislative requirements.Maintain a cGMP-compliant culture and adhere to regulatory standards.Ensure safety compliance and report any safety or quality issues promptly.Collaborate within a multi-functional team and communicate cross-functionally.Undertake mandatory training and continuously develop skills.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and 5S.Requirements:Proven experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology production environments.Previous experience in an engineering support function.Strong understanding of cGMP and HSE regulations (FDA, MHRA, HSE, EA).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to follow complex procedures and instructions accurately.Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electronic/mechanical equipment.Competence in training to operate a Process Control System (PCS).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Key Skills:cGMP ComplianceHealth & Safety RegulationsEffluent Treatment OperationsMechanical & Electrical AptitudeProcess Control SystemsProblem Solving & Continuous ImprovementDocumentation & Regulatory ComplianceTeam CollaborationLean Manufacturing PrinciplesEnvironmental Monitoring Interested?
