A post is available in the Histopathology Department at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, modern teaching hospital laboratory that handles approximately 80,000 surgical requests annually, offering a wide range of routine and specialized services.

The department fosters professional development and encourages educational activities. It includes Biomedical Scientist advanced dissection and reporting roles, utilizing digital pathology, CEREBRO specimen tracking, and ongoing equipment upgrades.

We welcome applications from graduates with an IBMS-accredited biomedical sciences degree. Applicants will complete the IBMS registration portfolio and HCPC registration before qualifying as a registered BMS.

The post holder will:

* Work as a BMS across all laboratory sections.
* Perform section cutting, embedding, special staining, immunohistochemistry, and specimen dissection.
* Conduct frozen and Mohs frozen sections.
* Assist with staff training, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
* Participate in lab projects and development.
* Carry out audits.
