Healthcare Assistant (Bank)
Kings Park Hospital, Stirling (part of Circle Health Group) – Bank Shifts. Salary up to £13.00 per hour (depending on experience, training and qualification).
Overview
We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the team in Theatres department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis; you will supplement staffing levels during busy periods and cover for existing staff during leave or absence.
Duties Of This Role Include
* Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
* Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake when appropriate.
* Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.
* Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, Respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).
* Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care set‑up, assisting with catheter care, pressure area prevention, and mobility aids.
* Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds and equipment in readiness for patient use.
* Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
* Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community or domiciliary).
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
* Ability to follow instructions and raise concerns appropriately.
* Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
* Physically able to undertake duties, including moving and handling tasks.
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) desirable.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control and confidentiality procedures.
