Join our small, family-run hotel, Southsea Rocks Hotel, located in the beautiful Southsea, Portsmouth. We pride ourselves on providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring they have a memorable stay.
Responsibilities
* Guest Services: Manage check-ins and assist guests with any needs, including letting them back into their rooms if locked out.
* On-Call Support: Be available to respond to guest requests and inquiries as needed.
* Liaison: Work closely with our virtual team who coordinate all guest communications, including emails and phone calls.
* Logistics: Collect parking permits and other shopping items for the hotel as required.
* Cleaning Support: Occasionally assist the cleaning team with tasks such as vacuuming when understaffed.
* Handyman Skills: Utilize handyman skills to address minor maintenance issues as they arise.
* Maintenance of Communal Areas: Ensure that both indoor and outdoor communal areas are kept tidy and presentable at all times.
* Management Support: Perform specific tasks as requested by management or hotel owners.
Qualifications
* Reliability: Must be a dependable and hardworking individual.
* Honesty: Integrity is essential in maintaining the trust of our guests and team.
* Team Player: Willingness to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
* Basic IT Skills: Familiarity with basic IT tasks, although most technical support is managed by our virtual team.
* Handyman Skills: Previous experience in maintenance or handyman work is preferable.
Work Schedule
* Hours: 5 or 6 days a week (negotiable)
Compensation
* Salary: up to £1800 per month but negotiable depending on hours worked. (Will discuss options at the interview)
