Position
We are seeking a qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to work as an afterschool club manager.
Hours
Monday to Friday during term time, from 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities
* To supervise the day‑to‑day management of all areas of the club, train staff, and encourage their personal development to thrive.
* To ensure the children in our care aged 3‑14 years have fun within our club with a range of activities including sports, outdoor play, arts and crafts, baking, experiments, homework sessions, and by working in partnership with parents.
* To provide a happy, safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
* To always follow the club's policies and procedures.
* To work as part of a team and be part of the management group, with the main focus of providing excellent childcare.
* To assign a training buddy to all new staff and provide a clear training program to capture all the skills needed for their role and progression.
* To ensure all new employees receive an effective induction and the induction programme is followed and completed to a high standard.
* To have a positive impact on the setting by engaging with staff and supporting them with their roles.
* Ensuring the risk assessments are clear, capture all risks of every aspect of the setting, and that all staff, children, and parents are safe at all times.
* Have a clear understanding of the business strategy and expectations.
* Review and implement overall business plans with the Operations Director.
* Work as part of a team and engage in daily work to your full potential.
* Be the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the club, ensuring safeguarding practices are always followed and any concerns are communicated to the relevant agencies and the Operations Director.
