Role Overview
A leader in Health Usage and Monitoring Systems (HUMS) for military and commercial aircrafts seeks an Engineering Project Manager to lead teams delivering customer-funded software application modifications. This role ensures projects meet all scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets at an established aerospace site.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage software engineering/technology projects
* Champion safety and high-quality delivery
* Act as primary customer contact for resource allocation and project integration
* Control project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring milestones and customer requirements are met
* Manage change, risk, and project performance using metrics and earned value techniques
* Effectively communicate with all levels and drive team accountability
* Motivate and manage project teams
Requirements
* Experience in software development project management (ideally within aerospace, automotive, nuclear, or other regulated sectors)
* Skilled in customer scope/change management and application software development
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Microsoft Project)
* Understanding of project lifecycle management
Desirable
* Knowledge of Aerospace & Military certification standards (DAOS, RTCA DO178)
* Experience using IBM ALM tool suite
* Experience working with military license requirements
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree
* Proven project management experience in a regulated or controlled industry (Aerospace, Energy, Chemical, Defense)
