We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at the Stores Road depot, DE21 4BD. The role involves performing various manual labor tasks related to grounds maintenance. The position requires a start date as soon as possible, with working hours from 07:00 to 15:00, totaling 37 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Perform grounds maintenance tasks using basic equipment.
* Communicate effectively with managers, colleagues, and the public.
* Interpret and follow risk assessments and safe working practices.
* Understand and execute written instructions and plans efficiently.
* Work safely and adapt to changing conditions.
* Maintain calm and defuse difficult situations when under pressure.
* Set up, use, and check the condition of grounds maintenance equipment safely.
Person Specification
* Friendly, approachable, and respectful towards colleagues, contractors, and the public.
* Knowledgeable in Health and Safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment.
* Possess strong literacy and numeracy skills.
* Reliable team member, focused and alert during repetitive tasks.
