How you'll make an impact This is a hands-on role with strong business partnering exposure and plenty of opportunity to drive change. You'll work directly with senior leadership and play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, improving systems and processes, and enhancing overall financial control. Play a key role in the month-end close process and provide financial insight to the Finance Director and Managing Director Produce timely and accurate management accounts, analysis, and cash forecasts Maintain robust financial control through ownership of reconciliations and balance sheet integrity Support the budgeting process, preparing reports and analysis for Board review and sign-off Drive process improvements across finance systems, controls, and reporting Provide financial analysis to support key decisions across all business functions Liaise with auditors and support the year-end process to ensure timely and accurate reporting Partner with teams across the organisation to ensure finance is well-integrated into operational decision-making Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory reporting standards (e.g. OFWAT, UK GAAP, FRS, IFRS) Why our client is excited about you Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) - first movers from practice welcome Strong Excel skills, with experience modelling data and building reporting tools Confident communicator able to explain financials to non-financial colleagues Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Comfortable in a fast-paced, commercial environment with tight margins and high transaction volumes Proven track record in financial analysis and producing reports that inform business decisions Experience working in a regulatory environment is a plus What you'll get in return Join a collaborative and ambitious finance team in a business committed to growth and development.
