GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a friendly primary school based in Eastbourne. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to balance work with other commitments while still making a meaningful impact in education.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide targeted support to pupils who may need a little extra help with their learning—whether that’s in small groups, one-to-one, or general classroom assistance. You’ll be a positive, reliable presence and help to create a calm and inclusive learning environment.
The role is typically mornings only, Monday to Friday, but there may be some flexibility for the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with learning, emotional, or behavioural needs
Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities
Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and participation
Help maintain a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Ideal Candidate:
Has experience working with children in any setting (school, nursery, youth work, etc.)
Communicates clearly and works well with others
Is patient, positive, and dependable
Has or is willing to apply for an enhanced DBS on the update service
