A well-established client within the solar industry is looking for 2 x H&S Managers to oversee all health and safety protocols on two different large-scale ground mount solar farms.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programmes to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with UK regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act.
2. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
3. Lead incident investigations and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
4. Provide training and support to staff and contractors on health and safety practices.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of H&S legislation and industry best practices.
6. Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all phases of the project.
7. Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, ideally with experience working on large-scale solar projects.
2. Strong knowledge of UK H&S regulations and industry best practices.
3. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
4. Relevant H&S certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
