Overview
Jardox is recruiting a qualified Maintenance Engineer to join the friendly, professional team at our Wincanton manufacturing site, Somerset. Normal working hours are 8am – 5pm. The successful candidate will undertake Maintenance Engineering and Reliability duties. The role is mainly factory based and reports to the Production Manager. Some out-of-hours work and travel to the head office at Sevenoaks, Kent may be required.
Responsibilities
* Work with the team to ensure reliability and productivity of Jardox equipment.
* Carry out preventative maintenance on food production machinery.
* Inspect tools and equipment to ensure safety.
* Proactively diagnose faults and anticipate failures to reduce downtime.
* Maintain accurate records of work undertaken.
* Order parts and liaison with contractors.
* Identify common failure modes and opportunities for reliability and efficiency improvement within Engineering and Production.
* Apply Reliability Centred Maintenance approaches (Predictive Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Condition Based Maintenance, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).
* Apply reliability analysis techniques (e.g., Vibration Analysis, Condition Monitoring, Oil Analysis).
* Collect, interpret and analyse reliability/maintenance data, update the CMMS, and write reports with recommendations to mitigate failures and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
* Be proactive in implementing maintenance and equipment reliability improvements and develop new maintenance workflows in line with safety, quality and hygiene standards.
* Manage a project to install a SAP module for Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Utilise Lean Manufacturing tools and Continuous Improvement techniques.
Qualifications and experience
* Electrically biased, hands-on maintenance experience.
* PLC fault-finding experience with instruments, inverters, drives, and control systems.
* IT skills and the ability/interest in fixing computing equipment as necessary.

* Condition-based monitoring techniques knowledge/certification.
* Strong understanding of root cause analysis and failure analysis.
