We are looking for someone to support a young man who’s needs are very new. Somebody with previous experience in a caring role would be advantageous. The applicant ideally will share similar interests such as music including playing instruments, going out shopping, taking part in various activities, going out for lunch or to coffee shops.
Duties
* providing support to enable him to access the community for social/leisure activities.
* Providing personal care - including washing, dressing and assistance with toileting.
* Our client is a wheelchair user so will need support into/out of his chair and assistance in the community with getting about.
* Providing support with medication.
* Providing domestic support.
* Assisting with meal preparation.
* On occasion may need assistance attending an appointment.
Requirements
You must have excellent communication skills, be trustworthy and reliable. A driver with a full clean licence is desirable including proof of business cover. Must be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Compensation
This is a job share position with up to 45.5 hours available offering a generous hourly rate of £13.00 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.
