Job Type: Redcar and Cleveland (PA's) Location: Redcar / Marske area Hours: 5 hours per week (Saturdays, 12.30pm – 5.30pm) Pay: £12.71 per hour About M M is a 13-year-old teen who is very tall for his age and has a global developmental delay, therefore is not functioning at age 13. He also has Klinefelter syndrome and Autoimmune Hepatitis. M requires supervision in the community due to limited awareness of danger. He has a lovely sense of humour, enjoys watching YouTube, playing on his Nintendo Switch, swimming, and getting out and about. He loves hugs and can sometimes ask strangers for them, so keeping him safe is always the priority. M does not like heights or lifts. What you’ll be doing Supporting M to take part in activities he enjoys (e.g., swimming, walking, McDonald’s trips, etc.) Collecting him from his regular Saturday club Ensuring his safety at all times Supervising meals, as M may eat beyond feeling full This role would suit someone who is: Patient, calm, honest, and understanding Energetic and physically fit A confident communicator Experienced or comfortable supporting someone with additional needs Friendly with a good sense of humour Punctual and reliable A driver with a full UK driving licence Desirable (not essential): Some knowledge of Klinefelter syndrome Some understanding of Autoimmune Hepatitis Previous experience in support or care Additional Information Full training can be provided Mileage reimbursed if using your own vehicle Enhanced DBS check required (paid for by employer)
