Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting principles, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
Duties
* Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with accounting standards.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
* Conduct financial accounting tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries.
* Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft for efficient financial management.
* Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff members in accounting practices and software usage.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business performance.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including financial accounting.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
