Cylinder Inspector (Neath) We have an opportunity for a Cylinder Inspector to join our onsite cylinder requalification and refurbishment team at Neath. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient inspection and maintenance of LPG cylinders in line with Calor’s specifications and quality procedures. Key Responsibilities Contribute to a safety-first culture, ensuring an incident-free workplace by reporting hazards, near misses, and contributing to the hazard-spotting programme. Inspect LPG cylinders impartially and accurately against Calor specifications (CAL 304/306) and agreed criteria. Carry out cylinder maintenance activities, including steaming, repairs, painting, and scrapping in line with Calor standards and local work instructions. Operate machinery and site equipment safely once trained and competent. Drive FLTs (subject to license/training) to load/unload trailers and transport cylinders on site. Maintain accurate production records and contribute to continuous improvement through defect reporting, problem-solving, and process improvements. Keep work areas hazard- and clutter-free, taking responsibility for end-of-shift clean-down. Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience Trained and assessed to perform Calor cylinder inspections (Q-QA-07-JD-CI). Authorised by the Inspection Body (IB) to perform inspections (training provided if required). Experience working in hazardous areas or heavy industry is desirable. FLT licence desirable (training can be provided). Strong awareness of health, safety, and process safety standards. Able to follow technical work instructions and specifications accurately. Clear communicator, with strong personal accountability and team contribution. Resourceful, proactive, and able to respond effectively to emerging issues.
