We're looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and down-to-earth team members to join our Front of House team.
About Us
Errington's Barn is part of a working farm, home to our sheep and goats that produce the milk for our renowned farmhouse cheeses like Lanark Blue and Corra Linn. These cheeses are at the heart of what we do, featuring on the menu in our café and on the shelves in our cheese shop. Sustainability, authenticity, and craftsmanship guide everything we do—from farm to fork.
What You'll Do
As a Front of House Team Member, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every guest feels welcome and enjoys a warm, authentic experience. Your responsibilities will include:
* Greeting and seating guests with a friendly, approachable manner.
* Serving food and drinks from our thoughtfully crafted menu, which highlights seasonal produce and our award-winning cheeses.
* Advising customers in our cheese shop, sharing the stories and flavours behind our farmhouse cheeses.
* Maintaining a clean and organized environment in both the café and shop.
* Supporting the team with day-to-day tasks, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
What We're Looking For
* A passion for great food and customer service.
* An interest in sustainable farming, cheese, or local produce (experience not essential, but curiosity is).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
* Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings for special events.
