Finance Manager
Location: Weymouth - Office based
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience
Hours: Minimum 39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm
Friday 8am to 1pm
Holiday: 33 days including bank holidays, plus sickness and accident payment scheme after qualifying period

This is a key leadership role within the business, responsible for delivering accurate financial information, maintaining strong controls and supporting commercial decision making.
This position will suit an experienced Finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational and commercial teams and who thrives in a hands on environment.
The Role
Accounting and Compliance
Full responsibility for maintaining accurate accounting books and records
Preparation and submission of monthly management accounts in line with reporting deadlines
Production of weekly reporting and key financial data analysis
Preparation of month end supporting schedules and reports
Daily and weekly cash flow forecasting and monitoring
Oversight and delivery of monthly and weekly payroll
Completion of balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with VAT, statutory reporting and other regulatory requirements
Support the Director through the annual audit process and statutory accounts preparation
Maintain and continuously improve internal controls and financial processes
Financial Planning and Analysis
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Provide financial insight and analysis to support commercial decision making
Contribute to target setting and performance monitoring to drive business objectives
Process Improvement and Team Leadership
Lead, support and develop the finance team, including Accounts Assistants
Set and review objectives and KPIs to ensure high performance
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Document and maintain finance systems, procedures and policies
Promote a professional, collaborative and supportive team culture
What We're Looking For
Essential
Recognised accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or AAT Level 4 or 5
Strong experience using Sage Accounts
Intermediate Excel skills
Experience producing management accounts and overseeing payroll
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Desirable
Minimum three years' experience operating at a senior level within a Finance Manager role
Experience within manufacturing or engineering
Sage Payroll experience
