Morson are recruiting a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our leading Filton based aerospace client on an initial 10 month contract. As Supply management team we serve as the critical link between our suppliers in Europe and the U.S. and Airbuss global production sites. Our primary accountability is to ensure a seamless supply of components—such as landing gears, wheels, brakes, and Fuel equipment—to prevent any disruption to Airbuss manufacturing schedules. This involves
managing on-time deliveries and providing clear, consistent communication to all our internal stakeholders.
The Supply Chain Coordinator, as process operator of ‘Supply External Products and Services' process, has the accountability to monitor the delivery of the right part, at the right time, at the right quantity, to the right place in accordance with customer needs. This is delivered through:
- Management of multiple supplier portfolio
- Daily Supplier/Customer interface
- Monitoring and improvement of first tier suppliers relationships
- Use of appropriate logistic and ordering solutions
- Supporting quality in the resolution of issues
- Supporting new product introductions when required
Responsibilities
Manage and monitor purchase orders to ensure alignment to requirements
Optimise ordering parameters (safety stock/safety time, batch size, reorder point) in line with influencing factors (delivery performance, quality performance, economic order quantity, demand fluctuation)
Manage reordering tasks after rejection, scrap/damages
Monitor and manage delivery forecasts and ‘line of balance' through regular interaction with suppliers
Perform monitoring through process performance measures and KPIs (Ordering measures, Missing Parts, Stock KPIs, Level of Service
Ensure clear and regular communication to all internal customers based across the world and that the escalation process is initiated in a timely manner where required to avoid impacts to build through late supply
Participate in supplier performance reviews/provide performance feedback to supplier where required
Follow-up and support troubleshooting for delivery issues, Goods receipt, Technical/Administrative quality notice and invoices
Analyse MRP and Supply External Product exception messages
Where required monitor supplier stock and support the Scrap/Sell/transfer process
