Senior Pharmacist‑Immunisation and Antimicrobials
Join to apply for the Senior Pharmacist‑Immunisation and Antimicrobials role at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a fixed‑term post for 12 months. The post holder will be responsible for pharmaceutical, clinical and governance aspects of vaccination services (including COVID‑19 and Influenza), work closely with nursing, medical and operational managers, and collaborate with the infection prevention and control team, integrated care boards and local consultant microbiologists to develop, implement and monitor the antimicrobial stewardship programme across the Trust. They will also provide a clinical pharmacy service to inpatient rehabilitation wards and contribute to staff development.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead the antimicrobial stewardship agenda, optimising antibiotic use and minimising resistance.
* Oversee all aspects of pharmaceutical safety and handling of vaccinations during campaigns and programme delivery.
* Participate in providing a clinical pharmacy service to inpatient rehabilitation wards and delivering medicines advice to community‑based services across the Trust.
* Undertake line management duties and clinical supervision of junior and trainee staff within the team.
* Oversee local audits and share findings at governance and operational meetings.
* Play an active role in the Trust’s quality improvement agenda, with a focus on medicines safety.
